Chilean Ambassador Welcomes the Next Generation of America Solidaria US

In a warm reception, the Chilean Ambassador to the US, Juan Gabriel Valdés, met with members of the Board of Directors, leadership, and volunteers of America Solidaria US.

In this space, the Ambassador shared the history of his long relationship with América Solidaria, and recognized the work and growth of the foundation over time. He stressed the importance of continuing to make América Solidaria’s work throughout the hemisphere known to a wider audience. The Ambassador urged those present to redouble their efforts to keep increasing the presence of volunteers serving in the region.

The members of the board of directors shared América Solidaria’s short-term and mid-range plans, and described the new challenges we face in getting consolidated in the US. The volunteers also got the chance to share their experiences in their projects with host organizations.

At the end of the meeting, the AS US delegation thanked the Ambassador and his team for their constant and unconditional support, which has been fundamental in our early years in this country.
